COVID-19 – 16th March 2020
Whilst we do not wish to add to the growing mountain of advice regarding the coronavirus outbreak we, as a practice, need to take certain steps in order to ensure the health and safety of our staff and clients alike.
Our vets take great care with their hygiene and biosecurity and are sanitising their hands before and after visits and wearing suitable protective clothing. If you are showing signs of coronavirus or think you may have been exposed, may we politely ask that you are not present at the visit and sort alternative arrangements for someone else to be present with your horse. The vet will then call you following the visit with regards to their findings and advice.
If you are self-isolating and cannot sort alternative arrangements we may, in some situations, be able to send out another member of the practice to assist the attending vet but we cannot guarantee this for all visits and this will need to be arranged/confirmed at the time of booking the visit. In certain circumstances, and where appropriate, we can offer telemedicine consultations.
Please do not leave booking vaccinations and routine appointments to the last minute as this is a rapidly changing time and government advice is changing daily. If you have concerns regarding your horse or pony we would advise that you arrange for them to be seen sooner rather than later.
If you have any concerns or wish to make an appointment, please telephone the practice on 01442 851921.
