COVID-19 – 15th May 2020
COVID-19 Updated Statement:
Following the government announcement last weekend regarding some relaxation of restrictions in relation to exercise, we appreciate clients may be spending more time with their horses. As a vital frontline service, our veterinary practice remains OPEN during the COVID–19 pandemic with some changes to how you access our services. We ARE here 24/7 for essential and emergency care. To reduce face-to-face contact we have applied strict social distancing policies for both medication collection and visits. Having implemented many changes to the way in which our staff operate in order to comply with both government & governing body recommendations, we hope to keep both staff & clients safe during what is likely to be the new normal for some time.
Therefore this update is designed to encompass some of the more routine work we have been receiving requests for.
It is imperative we adhere to the aforementioned guidelines, whilst continuing to provide the essential veterinary cover you expect & our patients deserve. In accordance to our governing body we are not running ‘completely as normal’, however we encourage clients to call the practice if your horse requires ANY form of veterinary treatment. Each visit will be risk assessed on a ‘case by case’ basis to ensure the safety of staff & clients alike. By placing a call to the practice there is a high probability we will be able to fulfil your visit requirements, if we can work together to ensure everyones safety.
From Monday 18th May we are starting to increase the number of staff available, in order to handle your calls and consequently get a vet onto your yard as required. Please feel free to call the practice on 01442 851921 from this point to discuss your requirements.
Please help us by respecting our staff and maintaining social distancing at all times whether collecting medication from the office or when our vets visit your premises.
We hope to see you all soon,
Stay safe.
Rick and Nikki.
